The first thing came up in my mind when I thought about "cold" was ice. Since I live in a tropical city-state country of Singapore, which doesn't have winter, I just gave-up my idea of shooting those fancy snowy things. This topic quite bothersome for me as a beginner in photography, especially commit in this project. Then idea was coming when I stared at my ice container in my freezer that afternoon. The preparation itself took me about 30 minutes. I stacked over those ice cubes inside my freezer with the door keep opened. When it started to melt, I need to close the door for a while, then continued stacking. Repeated for quite some times, until I got this shot. Honestly, I took more and more frame to get this final shot which I like the most.
For the lighting, I put the torch LED light behind those stacked ice. To added-up the cold mood, I used the Fluorescent +3 white balance. However, the result was not amazing, the blue tone was too much, that's why post-processing were applied by adjusting the brightness, contrast, hue-saturation to reduce the blue tone and increasing the sharpness. And here comes the final result. Critiques and comments are welcome.... :)
